CBC in the Community

CBC's Core Values are to Make it Right, Make it Easy and Make it Personal. We aim to do this every day in our branches and through our products and services, but also in the Ventura County community. We do this because we believe it is our civic and corporate duty.

We support our community through more than 75 events each year right in our own back yard. Our staff also regularly spends personal time volunteering in Ventura County as well to help out their neighbors.

Here is just a short list of the organizations we regularly support:

  • Boys and Girls Club of Oxnard and Port Hueneme
  • Rotary DreamCatcher Playground
  • Camarillo Chamber of Commerce
  • Children’s Miracle Network
  • Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce
  • FOOD Share
  • Naval Base Ventura County
  • Oxnard Chamber of Commerce
  • Port Hueneme Chamber of Commerce
  • United Way of Ventura County
  • Ventura Chamber of Commerce
  • Ventura County Medical Resource Foundation

Stuff the Bus

At CBC, we recognize that our future as a community rests on the tiny shoulders of today’s youth. That’s why we participate in the United Way’s “Stuff the Bus” fundraiser annually. Look for the “buses” inside our branches every summer and help contribute by donating classroom supplies. This organization donates around 1,000 backpacks yearly to under-privileged students in Ventura County.

Military Families Food Bank at NBVC

To help military families celebrate the holidays with a huge feast, CBC donates money to the Military Families Food Bank for their annual holiday fundraiser. On average, they distribute over 700 turkeys and other foods to active duty families and the CBC staff pitches in to help with the distribution.

Santa to the Sea Toy Drive

We are the official sponsor of the Annual Toy Giveaway hosted by the Santa to the Sea annual half marathon and fundraiser. Through this great event, we help collect gifts for more than 1,000 underprivileged kids throughout Ventura County. Look for this fundraiser in early December and learn more at SantaToTheSea.com.
