At certain times, unanticipated expenses or unforeseen problems can leave you with too little cash in your checking account. Having a check returned due to insufficient funds can be a costly, inconvenient and potentially embarrassing experience. That's why CBC Federal Credit Union provides Courtesy Pay to our members.

As always we encourage you to manage your finances responsibly. However we want to save you from the additional merchant fees and possible damage to your credit history that might result if a check is returned. Courtesy Pay is an overdraft privilege limit that may be automatically* assigned to your account. There is no action required on your part. You do not need to sign anything.

Courtesy Pay gives you an added level of protection against insufficient funds. It will only go into effect after all other means of Overdraft Protection have been used.

In the event you would like to have this service removed from your account, you may do so by calling (805) 988-2151. However, once this service is removed, you should keep in mind that if an item is presented for payment and there are non-sufficient funds in your account, the item will be returned to the payee and our standard NSF and/or Overdraft Fee will be charged per item.
