Can I Become a CBC Member?
If you live, work, worship, or go to school in the Ventura County or you have a family member that is an existing CBC member, you can become a CBC member.
Credit Unions vs. Banks
If you are new to credit unions you may be wondering how CBC and other credit unions differ from banks. Credit unions are similar to banks in that they offer all of the same products and services as banks. What makes credit unions special is that they are not-for-profit financial cooperatives. What does that mean? It means our members collectively own and drive the credit union to success through a democratically elected volunteer board of directors made up of, you guessed it, members like you!
