Looking back, 2019 has been a momentous year for CBC and its members. CBC consistently strives to provide its members with a unique experience and in 2019 we did just that. We have showcased ourselves by introducing innovative partnerships, new product offerings, and a better member experience. Let’s celebrate the achievements of a noteworthy 2019 and look forward to the possibilities that lie in the coming year.
With our guiding values: making it right, personal and easy – CBC fostered two new partnerships continuing our efforts in providing superior member service and experience. One of those partnerships was the addition of Dunkin’ Donuts! CBC members, in Camarillo, can now indulge in all of their Dunkin’ favorites while completing their day to day transactions. Who said donuts and banking don’t mix?
Secondly, CuVantis Wealth Planning, LLC joined the CBC family and has had early success in helping its members with both short-term and long-term financial goals. Best of all, the Financial Advisors of CuVantis Wealth Planning are entirely non-commission! The Credit Union’s focus is to help its members develop a plan and implement portfolio strategies that give the best chance of financial success.
With all that has been accomplished, CBC has no plans to end its innovative approach to banking in the coming year. CBC welcomes the New Year with innovative undertakings to serve its members and its communities. Of course, this would not be possible without CBC’s members – the Credit Union cannot thank you enough.
As 2019 comes to a close, CBC wishes nothing but happiness and financial fitness in your 2020 resolutions and as always, thank you for your membership!
The CBC Team
A comfortable retirement is often viewed as the reward for a lifetime of hard work. But for many, comfort doesn’t come in the form of traditional retirement. Today, many baby boomers view retirement as a time to fulfill their lifelong dreams. But according to Dustin Tondreau, the CuVantis* financial advisor located at CBC Federal Credit Union, a solid financial base is needed in order to do whatever you want to do.
Historically, that financial base was created by a combination of an employer’s pension, social security and your own personal savings. Today, however, fewer and fewer workers are actually covered by an employer’s pension, meaning each of us is becoming more and more responsible for our own retirement security. For many, that means exploring investment options beyond traditional savings and certificates of deposit.
That’s why CBCFCU is pleased to partner with CuVantis Wealth Planning, LLC, to offer retirement planning and wealth management options to members. CuVantis offers a wide variety of planning and investment strategies - including pension replacement options – to help you create the financial base that allows you to pursue your retirement dream. Whether it be to travel around the world, start your own business, or just spend more time doing the things you love, our non-commission CuVantis financial advisor can help you create an investment and retirement plan to help you on your way. Call (805) 988-2151 ext. 5710 or email Dustin.Tondreau@CuVantis.com to arrange your complimentary consultation.

Community & Events Coordinator
Alfredo has been with CBC since September of 2018. He started out as a Member Service Representative in the Oxnard Branch after being referred by a friend to the Credit Union. After starting at CBC, he felt like CBC was a great fit for him. Alfredo has recently taken a position as CBC Community and Event Coordinator which means you can find him out at community events promoting CBC’s products and services around the county.
Alfredo most enjoys the team at CBC. “Our people sincerely care about our members’ financial wellbeing and being around team members that share that passion makes it worthwhile,” said Alfredo. He looks forward to helping CBC’s community outreach efforts grow in the future and he would like to one day lead a team of his own. In his free time, you can find Alfredo enjoying being outdoors on a hike or at a local park playing soccer. If he isn’t outside, he’s enjoying time with his friends and family.
The team at CBC is so excited to watch Alfredo help grow our reach in the community and if you happen to see a CBC booth when you’re at a local event, be sure to stop and say hi to Alfredo!
