Letter from our president and CEO, Rick Weber.

Product Launches & Financial Education
As we move into the fall and winter seasons, I continue to be proud of the demanding work our CBC team is doing to continue to bring quality products and services to our members and the community.

I am excited to introduce our new Insurance division, Members of CBC Insurance Agency. CBC now offers a full-service insurance agency with an array of insurance solutions from some of the top insurance providers. During our new insurance agency’s soft launch, we were able to consistently save our team members money on their policies. Now you can protect your car, your home, and more all under the CBC roof.

The CBC team has also been holding educational webinars throughout the pandemic and we are excited to continue offering even more learning resources for our members and folks in the community that want to learn about managing money, with topics ranging from maintaining a budget to understanding credit. We not only want to be who you trust with your accounts, but also a resource for learning.

Student Epic Checking is coming! CBC wanted to bring the entire suite of Epic Premium products, deals, and discounts to our college students at a major discount of only $4 per month. Starting in November, all local college students will be eligible to become an Epic Student Checking member! More events and details on this exciting new product will be available on our website and social media channels.

As always, I thank you for your membership at CBC and if you have any questions, please reach out to us at 805.988.2151.

CBC Insurance Agency Has Just Launched!

CBC Federal Credit Union just launched Members of CBC Insurance Agency, a new insurance solution for current CBC FCU members and the community. CBC FCU’s new insurance agency offers a full range of insurance solutions including auto, home, life, business, and much more.

“We want to help our members by determining the right coverage that fits their needs and budget. Working with top-ranked insurance providers, we have been able to save money for our team members on their policy within a week of doing business, and we love helping people save money, “says Maria Prendiz, AVP Insurance Services, at CBC FCU. “I am excited to be a part of this milestone and look forward to expanding our insurance services to more communities.”

How we make it easy:

• Rate comparisons from top-ranked insurance companies,
• Identifying discounts offered,
• Personal and friendly service from a licensed insurance agent.

Members of CBC Insurance Agency will be available to the community starting Sept.8, 2021. We will be holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 22nd from 5pm-6pm at our headquarters, 2151 E. Gonzales Rd., Oxnard 93036.

Employee Spotlight

Genessa Stweart
Account Service Representative II
Ventura Back Office

Genessa has been with CBC since February 2019 and started as an Account Service Representative. She found out about CBC Federal Credit Union from a friend and with her previous experience thought she would be a great fit for the role. Geneesa was promoted in May 2020 to ASR II.

When we asked Genessa what she enjoys most about her role at CBC she responded, “What I like best working at CBC is everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission. This truly creates a family environment where everybody is there for each other. I love that my job enables me to love and enjoy my other passions in life as well.”

Genessa future goals are to reach a leadership position. She wants to be a leader because she understands what employees need to thrive in their roles. She really enjoys leading by example and pushing others to be the best they can be. If you see her in our Ventura branch location, make sure to say hi!

Community Snapshot

CBC has been busy this year bringing resources to our community. One of the ways we have done that is by upping our information and services in Spanish. As an example, our team has been able to provide webinars, product brochures, and our online banking in Espanol! We will continue to work hard in providing information in a more accessible manner that reflects the need of the community. Ask a CBC team member today about our upcoming services and products!

Amidst COVID, CBC has been an active participator in our community. We are proud to support events that uplift our community and its members. CBC recently supported the Women’s United Award Ceremony. Over a dozen single mothers were awarded scholarships to further their education in the pursuit of their educational dreams. CBC proudly supports events like this by sponsoring and being a helping hand. Want to learn more about the many events we support in our backyard?
